meet heather...
A San Diego native, Heather has definitely put her fashion stamp on the city. Keeping busy with her um-teen jobs; fashion stylist, blogger, model and personal shopper Oh! and I forgot the best part... she owns a vintage jewelry line called La Feem (I own a few pieces myself). Talk about inspirational! She is always on the move working her magic throughout Southern California.
Heather's most recent styling work can be found on the style page of the August issue of San Diego Magazine (page 30) **please note that the Chanel and RAEN glasses should be switched** She also helped kendall k. with a mention of the "Best of San Diego" naming our line the Best Women's Clothing Line in San Diego. She is always an inspiration and I'm honored to call her my friend.

easy DIY Friday
I'm a watch kind of gal. Recently, I have been coveting after a leather band watch. I quickly realized after scouring Fashion Valley mall, that I have very specific taste. My dream watch just wasn't out on the shelves. Then my brilliant husband came up with the idea to simply switch the band on my favorite men's Seiko watch that I have been wearing faithfully for three years. I now have my perfect leather band watch and for only $21.00.

coco
I recently watched (for the 2nd time) the biography on Coco Chanel, "Coco before Chanel" which starts out at her childhood when she was abandoned by her father and left at an orphanage. It trails along her life showing how it all began. She was classy, independent, self reliant and tough as nails! a great inspiration.
I found these sketches drawn by friend and predecessor at Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld. I'm thinking about blowing one up to hang in my office.

sensory overload
Check out this beautiful photo of the twin moguls. Do you think this was planned? The beautiful chartreuse couch (loving this color right now) against the eggplant wall with the accent of her teal sari and dark gold metallic jacket. It takes my breath away. Even the champagne makes my mouth to water (you know it's good stuff). It looks so natural I just don't want to believe it was set up.
Have a great weekend!

currently reading..
I read "The Power of Positive Thinking" eight years ago and it completely changed my life. It introduced me to law of attraction well before I got a hold of "The Secret", thus catapulting me into the direction of my fate. seriously.
I decided to pick up "The Power of Positive Thinking" again to remind myself of the basic principals. I had completely forgotten about the obvious religious tone of the book, but nevertheless, it teaches the same basic fundamentals of asking for and receiving the life that you want.

lazy days
When I look at this photo of Faye Dunaway the morning after winning the Oscar for Network, all that comes to mind is the peaceful feeling one gets after a great accomplishment. You can tell by her stare how hard she worked for it and now rewards herself with a long, relaxing breakfast by the pool. The little (wonderful) pleasures in life.
What do you see?
Hope you all have a relaxing weekend.

lucky girl
Even though it is nearing what feels like 109 degrees in our house, I couldn't help but to be inspired by this fall layout in the August issue of Lucky magazine. I would rock each outfit in this shoot without hesitation ( and that doesn't usually happen)... and I'm coveting over that gorgeous "Boston" Gucci bag in the 2nd photo.
