meet Diane...

Diane of Fürstenberg is synonymous with bold prints, effortless style and women empowerment. She started designing women's clothing in 1970 with only a $30,000 investment, finally making her mark with the wrap dress in 1973. She became a contributing editor for Vanity Fair magazine and holds the president chair for the CFDA (and lifetime achievement award). But what most people don't know is that she avoided bankruptcy in the early 90's by selling most of her licensees. Moral of the story: DON'T QUIT!!
She is definitely one of my idols and I am buying her autobiography today!! Has anyone read it?

Here is a video of her Spring 12 collection. Love that Valentino and Oscar are there to support.

meet heather...

A San Diego native, Heather has definitely put her fashion stamp on the city. Keeping busy with her um-teen jobs; fashion stylist, blogger, model and personal shopper Oh! and I forgot the best part... she owns a vintage jewelry line called La Feem (I own a few pieces myself). Talk about inspirational! She is always on the move working her magic throughout Southern California.
Heather's most recent styling work can be found on the style page of the August issue of San Diego Magazine (page 30) **please note that the Chanel and RAEN glasses should be switched** She also helped kendall k. with a mention of the "Best of San Diego" naming our line the Best Women's Clothing Line in San Diego. She is always an inspiration and I'm honored to call her my friend.

Swooning for Swan

Just read the best article about Natalie Portman in the January issue of Vogue magazine. What an amazing woman. Besides the known beauty and brains, Natalie dedicates herself to perfectionist levels in everything she does, which is made obvious in her new movie Black Swan.

I'm dying over here...has anyone seen it yet?
