china

When you read this, I will be on a plane flying over the Pacific. I'm on my way to China! and it really couldn't come at a more perfect time. I'm in a creative RUT, and I'm hoping that I will become inspired walking through the fabric and trim markets. What's even better? The fact that one of my dearest friends is coming with me :)

Here are a few photos from my last trip...

Have a great week friends.

The Portland Collection

Pendelton is one of the oldest clothing manufacturers in the United States. Still a family owned business (which you don't see very often today), they started the wool company in Pendelton Oregon. Fast forward over a 100 years and they have successfully reinvented themselves again! With the new Portland Collection (So Cute) as well as a collaboration with Opening Ceremony, this company is showing no signs of slowing down. Inspirational really.

Loving the red stripe down the boots!

"Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future." ~ Audrey Hepburn

The Big Easy

I always knew that New Orleans had some amazing history, good music and fried food, but nothing could've prepared me for the experience I had this last weekend traveling to the Big Easy with my husband and two of our closest friends. The entire city has this very mystical vibration, and the FOOD, oh. my. god. I enthusiastically gained 5 pounds :)
But the biggest surprise to me was the inspiration that I would get from this beautiful city. The vibrant colors, detailing and patterns that are naturally ingrained definitely get me in the mood to start sketching Fall 12' this week. I dreamt of colbalt blue and brocade last night...
Have you ever been to NOLA? How was your experience?
