In the last month I have come across three new magazines that leave me literally wanting more! And they couldn't have come at a better time, every subscription I have now seems to mirror the next and I have become bored. Needless to say, if you haven't laid your eyes on these yet, don't wait a second longer.
Matchbook magazine is a brand new online subscription that perfectly marries Kate Spade aesthetic with Wes Anderson kitch. just lovely.
Afar was a present from my dear friend Alicia this last Christmas. This magazine is like no other travel publication I have come across. The editorials are relate able and the fun factoids and advice given on each location really make it personal. A bonus was that I went to high school with the creator. Highly recommend for the travel enthusiast.
Hi-gloss magazine is an online magazine that is launching TOMORROW! It's focus is on... well...everything! "A guide to a well lived life," it touches on fashion, interior design, entertaining ideas and travel. The write up on the each of the darling editors is what got me :) Can't wait to read the first installment.
I'm always looking for new things to read. Any recommendations for magazines that are off the beaten path?

the future's so bright...
Some very exciting plans are underway in the next couple months for
kendall k. Launch parties, trunk shows, editorials, and SHIPMENTS oh my! I feel so fortunate to have the support of some awesome retailers and of course my friends and family who probably want to rip their hair out by listening to my endless business stories. And although it's not quite time to celebrate, I could definitely imagine popping open the champagne at either one of these two locations. Which party type are you?
Mingling outdoors or toasting in a swanky bar?
cheers!

7 things you may not know about me
I was recently awarded the "Stylish Blogger award" by the lovely Nadine Loves, thanks girl! Definitely check out her blog... I just love how her British accent comes out in her writing.
I usually have a hard time writing these lists down but I figure I really enjoy reading others so why not?!
1.) I practice yoga three times a week. I have found that it really works wonders with keeping your sanity.
2.) All time favorite food is Mexican! If I had to choose what food to live off of for the rest of my life, it would be beans and rice. One day my husband and I want to start a lil' dive Mexi restaurant on the beach and name it Nachos.
3.) I'm a avid vintage clothing collector. I love thrifting and I will make it a point in every city that I visit to check out the vintage stores in town. Favorite one to date, Mintage in Vancouver or Episode in Amsterdam.
4.)I have been with my husband for 10 years (1/3 of my life)! married for 4 years. He is my best friend.
5.) Love, love, love to travel. Planning the next trip to Italy, Spain or Australia.
6.) I have always wanted to start my own company. When I was a little girl, every weekend I would start a new business. Whether it was a car washing service, babysitting, dog walking, or lemonade stand...you name it, I did it.
7.) While I was at Arden b. I had the privilege of designing a dress for Olivia Wilde, that was later auctioned off for charity.
there you go, 7 things you may not have known about me. Thank you all for reading and your continuous support! Love you all.

give me moore!
I love emotion in this photo of Julianne Moore; "I am woman, hear me roar". I still have not yet seen her multi-nominated movie, The Kids are Alright but hopefully before Oscars come around, I still have a month or so right?!
On a side note: Today I'm meeting with Kyss boutique in Carlsbad to plan a launch party for kendall k. in March!! More details to come...

received size runs
This is a very good sign. I received size runs for 5 more styles out of production, which means that I received a 2,4,6 and an 8. This allows me to approve the size grading for each style, not that I can do anything about it now ( with production nearing completion) it's just a nice confirmation that the styles are being produced :) For the most part, the sizing seems true to fit....not too bad for first production run. I'm thinking next season I will definitely add in the size 10.
Wow, just realized it's Wednesday! Happy hump day.
thank you to A Glimpse of Glamour for the adorable messages. I need to follow #1 more closely.

globe trotting
So who watched the globes last night? I actually watched them live which is a rarity.
There were really only a few dresses that caught my attention this year. I'm LOVING the long sleeves and the beautiful bright colors... and of course Heidi knows exactly how to pull off a print at the Globes. love her.
What were some of your favs?

Ready or not Colorado, here I come!!
Those of you who are already friends on facebook know that I just received my first out of state order. I just couldn't hold back, I had to share with all of you as well! This is very exciting not only because kendall k. will be represented in the beautiful city of Aspen, Colorado (Bandana boutique) but because now I don't have to worry about my trademark being invalid. Apparently, you must sell out of the state you do business in in order for the trademark to be legitimate. Just another worry off the list :)

the week's end...
Yesterday I attended the LTD (live the dream) 2011 seminar. I know the name sounds a bit cult-like, but the message is to empower and inspire women to become the strong and confident person that they want to be. I had the privilege to sit in on seminar with Joy from
Oh' Joy giving insight on the power of the blog. Wearing a little sequin top under a knit tuxedo like cardigan, she is just as cute in person as I imagined.
On the work front, I have received 21 out of 22 samples, and now I wait for the 2nd "perfected" samples to come on in...annnny day now. Also, I have started to reach out to some New york showrooms in order to find an east coast home for kendall k.! wish me luck.
and last but certainly not least, I'm happy to announce that the kendall k. website has been finalized. Thank you to our dear family friend, Eli Bowman for working so diligently on it and being so patient with me.
Have a great weekend!
