los angeles textile show

Yesterday I attended the LA textile show in downtown Los Angeles. Perfect timing as next week I will start emptying my head of all the Spring 2012 ideas whirling around inside. I'm feeling as though our last trip to Costa Rica will be a great inspiration for this collection and in fact, I bought my first print artwork!! For those of you who don't know, you can buy one of a kind artwork to develop into fabric~ which then will be exclusive to you. Whoa, let me just tell you how hard of a decision that was. I used to pick out prints for BCBG and Arden B all the time, but when its your own $$ and brand its a whole new ballpark. I'm totally happy with my decision and excited about the beautiful poppy, chartreuse and teal color story that will become of it.

  1. Wow the print sounds amazing, poppies and teal...lovely for a dress! I cant wait to see it produced. That must be an amazing feeling when its exclusive to your design. Congrats! :)

  2. Omg, how exciting, I can't wait to see what you create. I'm craving Costa Rica! xo

  3. I loved seeing your jacket at Jessica's!! It is gorge and girl that orange blouse is beautiful. Nice work and can't wait to see what lies ahead!

  4. Aw. I wish I would have remembered about the show . . . I so would have loved to have met up with you, finally! ;) Your print sounds amazing! Have a lovely weekend! xo Samantha
