reflection

2011 was a year of growth, patience and expanding myself in ways I didn't know I could. I cannot believe how much I have learned in 12 months. From my first import, writing me first invoice, my first shipment, lifestyle video, press, trunk show, production, factory visit, showroom, and retail delivery plus many more...
To think back at where I was a year from today, I have so much to be thankful for AND so much to look forward too! If next year is anything like last, then it will be a helluva ride and I can't wait!!

the Haute Look process

The Haute Look sale ended this last Monday and today I'm delivering the goods to the warehouse.

The process of a weekend sale actually takes about a month to coordinate. First I send samples and inventory, this happened in the beginning of November. they have many meetings to discuss and then get me the final selection. Then I'll freeze my inventory. When the sale is over, I receive a PO from Haute Look of everything that sold during the sale. I then label, and pack up each style in their respected boxes, which are also labeled. The process is a tedious one but worth it! Now in order to save money on shipping, I'm delivering the good myself. Ha! bet they have never had a Prius pull up to the loading dock before!

tonight, I'm celebrating with my boo. Wine and The Help! Has anyone seen it? Was it as good as the book?!

Conference for Entrepreneurial Women

Tomorrow I'm attending the 1st annual LTD EXPO 2011, A Conference for Entrepreneurial Women in Pasadena. It will be a day full of inspirational women, resourceful seminars and insight into the tools needed to start a business up or plateau to the next level. I'm really looking forward to it!
